Last week I headed up to London to one of my favourite, and oh-so-Instagrammable venues, Bourne & Hollingsworth, to meet with some other bloggers at an event with Baby Jogger, where we were joined by the beautiful Helen Skelton who shared her tips for a growing family.
Having worked with Baby Jogger this year as an ambassador, it was so great to meet the team behind the great brand who I’ve found always keep families in mind when designing their pushchairs and baby equipment. We got to have a look at the brand new City Select LUX, which has 20, yes TWENTY, different configurations to it which blows my mind and makes it perfect for growing families. It was great to see the LUX in action as I had no idea it could do so much. As a family of 2 young boys I know this pram will be a great addition to meet our growing needs.
Baby Jogger had asked Helen Skelton to come along to the event and chat about her growing family and all things baby, she was SO nice, not to mention funny, and I could have listened to her all day! She told us about giving birth to her 2nd son on her kitchen floor – near on alone (incredible!) and gave us tips about how she juggles a successful career in the media with her two young sons, Ernie and Louis. Some of her top tips for getting out and about with young children were so similar to mine and a lot of them were based around food – or bribery as I like to call it! You can’t go wrong with a packet of Quavers, “if you’ve got Quavers, you’ll be alright” – life mottos right there! Helen talked about the ups and downs of living in France with a young baby with no family nearby and how buying a pram can be a stressful experience if you don’t test it out and make sure it’s the right fit for your family. Helen is an ambassador for the new City Select LUX and well, if it’s good enough for her, it’s good enough for us!
After our fun chat with Helen I had a lovely catch up with some of the other girls. Baby Jogger had organised nannies to be there to help entertain the little ones, which was a great touch as they didn’t need to worry about mini people getting into mischief and we all got to have a lovely, relaxed afternoon tea together which was so nice. Didn’t I tell you it was instagramable?!? (Check out my own Instagram if you want to see more!)
Thanks Baby Jogger for having me – keep an eye out for a review of the City Select LUX coming here soon!
