Creating A Gallery Picture Rail With Desenio

I’m sure you all know by now that I am a big fan of the Desenio posters and I have them dotted everywhere around the house, so when I was designing a gallery picture rail for my new home office I knew they would be the perfect fit for this special space.

Firstly we needed shelving. I went with the 115cm Ikea picture ledge which is the longer version as it was a better fit for the wall, these are such a bargain at just £8.95 and I have seen loads of hacks for these around the home over on YouTube which look really cool. But as we were using them in the traditional sense we marked them up on the wall and drilled them in with wall plugs for extra stability. It was really easy to do and once they were up I could be as creative as I wanted to display my prints as well as some ornaments I’ve been picking up along the way, as you may have seen from a haul video I did a little while ago.

The colour pallet for my home office is a fresh mixture of leafy greens with blush peachy-pinks and includes accents of gold which I have picked up in some of the frames, which I also got from Desenio. The flamingo print and gorgeous peonies picked out some of the light pink tones I have been drawn to in this feminine space of mine.

I love that Desenio stock not only good quality art work, but I’m also a big fan of these quote prints which I love looking at hanging above me when I work. Particularly the “Balance” print because it reminds me to take a break now and again and enjoy what it is all for, all my hard work and determination to create my perfect job in my YouTube and blog work, but to still enjoy the now . I also love the “do more of what makes you happy” quote, for the same reason.

While I was over on the Scandinavian site I couldn’t resist 2 final prints for a separate corner of my office – the pink staircase with green plant was the perfect colour match for my office, and reminded me of far away holidays and fun, while the “All of me loves all of you” is from one of my favourite songs and I absolutely adored it straight away as it reminded me of my husband.

I am so pleased with how my gallery picture rail has turned out and I smile every time I look at it, it’s important for me to have a nice environment to work in because I spend so much time up in my office. Thank you to Desenio for helping me create such a happy space, if you wanted to order your own posters from Desenio they have kindly offered my readers 25% off of all prints between Tuesday 5th -Thursday 7th Sept, (not including hand-picked/frames) using 25LARA, I honestly love them and love browsing the website!! I’d love to see how you feature them in your home – tag me on Instagram if you share them.
