So, it is the year of the 30th Birthday for a lot of my friends. And with these big milestones come some lovely gifts. I thought I would share a few ideas with you for anyone who is looking for a special birthday present idea for a close friend or family member, or maybe if you are being SUPER organised for Christmas!! (Am I even allowed to say that word yet?!)
As the 30th is a special birthday, it’s nice to go for something tangible to remember the event by, I have tried to vary the budget from £16 up to make sure there is something for all budgets.
A snap from my 30th celebrations;
Luxe candles are becoming my new favourite thing. They are perfect for a special birthday present because it’s not something someone might splash out on for themselves but oh my are they stunning and I am sure will be noticed by any visitors!
Neom organic candles are 100% naturally fragranced and crafted in Britain. This Lemon and basil is divine! At £45 I know it is expensive for a candle, but it’s not just a candle…and it is pure class when given as a gift.
Jo Malone have so many fabulous products, but the candles are somewhat of an obsession of mine. I am coveting the Sweet Almond and Macaroon candle – it will be mine!!
Now I’ve always had somewhat of a dislike for Pandora, the bracelets, the charms…I won’t go on as I know they are very popular, just not for me! However, I’ve started to really love some of their rings. There are literally hundreds and I have bought a couple for friends this past year, and the other day I stumbled across this Mother Of Pearl beaut which I might just have to add to my own Birthday wish list for occasional wear…
I was busy buying a friend her much lusted after double sixpence necklace last month;
When I stumbled across this cute J&S Jewellery pastel necklace;
Available on Not On The Highstreet in 5 different colours and an absolute bargain at just £16! I thought they were really sweet and perfect if you are looking for something really affordable yet special.
Mirrored jewellery box;
Obviously if you’re receiving such lovely jewellery you want somewhere fabulous to store it all! I have a large mirrored jewellery box, but something like this cute, detailed box is beautiful and sits perfectly on a dresser or window sill.
This one is from Laura Ashley and is in the sale for £21
Make up bag;
I’m currently working on Stuart for a new make up bag for our 3rd wedding anniversary! (Well the theme is leather after all!) but at over £200 I thought I would choose something a little more affordable if you’re looking to buy a close friend or relative something beautiful to store their make up in.
The Aspinal of London Pewter Medium cosmetics bag is beautiful, and timeless. And will certainly be something to cherish. This one comes in at £95 which I appreciate is expensive but it is really special for any make up junkie to store their treasures!
My lovely friends got me a Michael Kors watch for my 30th, I have never owned a watch but I have literally not stopped wearing it since I got it! And I remember them all by it each morning when I put it on! Thanks girls 🙂
I’d love to hear what special gifts you’ve received on any milestone events!
